English VS a cup of tea

Is it yet another conversational club? Well... yes and no. In fact, it's a hybrid of all kinds of clubs you've heard about before: a conversational one, a movie one, a reading one, a book one... Every meeting will be centered around a short (sometimes funny sometimes not) video or story. Some of them are so deep that they'll take two meetings to be dealt with. :) But each time the format of tasks and the structure of the meeting will be different. There will be some questions referring to the plot, some thought-provoking ones, some lexical quizzes and even reading involved (yes, that "old school" role play reading), and, of course, a tiny bit of grammar / vocabulary based tasks. What's on? Currently, we're reading "The Little Prince" which is considered to be one of the books of all times. Join in to discuss it with us! Why should I at least try it? My English is around Intermediate and I believe/doubt that doing various interesting activities for 60 minutes once a week will help me to improve my English and (maybe, just maybe) make me love it (even more). I also hope that a host who not only has a diploma in teaching English (with honours btw), but has been teaching the language as a hobby for about 20 years and was a co-host of English Language Evenings for 3 years might actually know what she's doing. And last but not least... Why is it called "English VS a cup of tea"? The Brits say you can't have your cake and eat it, but for the price of a cup of delicious tea in a nice cafe, I can practise English from the comfort of my home and still have a cup of tea.
